"JJboogie" Jason Reichert
AKA JJboogie, the multi-instrumentalist has been a professional musician for 21 years. He first started out on drums at age eight playing along to Motown records and listening to funk, jazz, R&B & Rock & Roll. By the time he was fifteen he was gigging professionally as a drummer.
Cutting his teeth on the local Atlanta blues scene, he later would be performing with Mudcat, Sean Costello and King Johnson. Also very inspiring for JJ, was being able to perform with blues legends such as Tinsley Ellis, Tab Benoit, Charles Musselwhite and the great Taj Mahal. After years of playing drums for blues, jazz, rock & gospel music, JJ was greatly influenced by all the amazing guitar players he toured and performed with. So he picked up the guitar, and made the transition with ease. He was able to surpass his expectations, becoming a session guitarist as well as a producer & recording engineer.
He is currently co-writing with and a member of Nanyana Summer's band and the two time Grammy award winning group Arrested Development.
